Hey there! I'm Jordan Martin and I am an herbalist and the owner of The Herbal Body, LLC. Growing up in Grand Ridge, FL - a very rural community in the beautiful panhandle of Florida - I was always surrounded by farm land. I was heavily involved in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) where I was educated in all things agriculture - horticulture, forestry, livestock, and business. My love for these things has grown exponentially since then.

At twenty years old, I graduated from Chipola College and moved to Crawfordville, FL to start a family with my husband. For a while, I struggled to find my place in the world. It wasn't until I gave birth to our son that I knew exactly what my future path would look like. Being a mom has been my greatest achievement and a reward in itself. I quickly transitioned from a 9-5 corporate employee to a stay at home mom - homemaker - homesteader. I also earned a certificate as a Birthing & Postpartum Doula. This is the life I was made for!

Becoming the primary caregiver in our household opened my eyes to all the harsh chemicals and toxins in our lives. During my pregnancy, I had already cut out all candles, overly processed foods, harsh cleaning agents, and scented detergents. But, when my son came, I knew there was more to be done. I tirelessly researched alternative cleaning solutions, recipes for a cleaner diet, homeopathic medicine, and home remedies for pretty much every possible ailment. It didn't take long for me to realize that living a cleaner, all natural lifestyle was going to require some hard work, motivation and commitment. So, then came the garden. We started with a small tea garden which has evolved into fresh fruits and vegetables, edible flowers, over 40 medicinal herbs, and so much knowledge and many life lessons learned.

After three years of growing and foraging for herbs, learning, studying, and practicing herbalism, I opened The Herbal Body as a small, local farmers market style business in 2023. Attending local markets and festivals as a vendor has been incredibly rewarding. I enjoy being able to participate in my local community's events and meeting other like-minded people. When given the chance, I love being able to educate those who haven't dove into herbalism yet.

My ultimate goal in owning The Herbal Body is to create affordable, safe, all natural products that families can trust. I want to be the change I have sought for myself and my family for so long.
